Student: University Systems Access - A Checklist
Need to get access to BlueLink, Desire2Learn, Wireless Internet, Printing or OCU Email?
As a student, accessing university systems is an essential part of your academic journey. From registering for classes to submitting assignments, you need to have access to these systems to ensure a smooth and successful academic experience. However, with so many different systems and platforms to navigate, it can be overwhelming to keep track of everything. That's why we've put together this checklist to help you ensure that you have access to all the university systems you need.
Before Coming to the Help Desk: If you did not receive an email to your personal email address on record with the Registrar with the subject "Accessing your new Oklahoma City University accounts!", please confirm that Admissions has the correct email address on record. Admissions can then resend the email after updating your information.
Note for Off-Campus Students: If you are currently off-campus, please skip to Step 3.
Work Through the Following Steps in Order
Step 1: Can You Connect to OCUsecure Wi-Fi? (On-Campus Only)
What to do: On your mobile device, connect to the OCUsecure wireless network.
What you'll need:
- Your OCU network username (the part before @ in your student email address)
- Your OCU network password (this is different than your email password)
What this tests: This verifies access to your OCU Network Account, which is used to access Wi-Fi, printing, and the Mac computers on campus.
✓ Success? If you connected successfully, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Can You Sign Into Web Print? (On-Campus Only)
What to do: While on campus, visit http://ocuprint.okcu.edu and sign in.
What you'll need:
- Your OCU network username (the part before @ in your student email address)
- Your OCU network password (this is different than your email password)
What this tests: This verifies you can access the campus printing system to manage and release print jobs.

Need to reset your network password? Go to
http://password.okcu.edu and use the
Student WiFi and Printing Account Self-Service option.
✓ Success? If you signed in successfully, proceed to Step 3.
Off-Campus Students Start Here: If you are currently off-campus, begin with Step 3 below.
Step 3: Can You Log Into Your my.okcu.edu Email Account?
What it is: Your student email account is also known as your Microsoft 365 Account and grants access to multiple Microsoft services as well as most university services.
What to do: Visit https://office.com
What you'll need:
- Your full email address (username@my.okcu.edu)
- Your email password
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) method
What this tests: This verifies access to your Microsoft 365 account, which is required for most other university systems.
Important: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required. Please make sure to set up MFA with devices or phone numbers accessible in the United States.
Need to reset your email password? Go to
http://password.okcu.edu and use the
Microsoft 365 Password Self-Service option.
✓ Success? If you logged in successfully, proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Can You Log Into BlueLink?
What it is: BlueLink is our portal where you can access billing, grades, and other student-related information.
What to do: Visit http://bluelink.okcu.edu
What you'll need:
- Your full email address (username@my.okcu.edu)
- Your email password
What this tests: This verifies you can access the student portal for registration, billing, grades, and other administrative functions.
✓ Success? If you logged in successfully, proceed to Step 5.
Step 5: Can You Log Into D2L (Desire2Learn)?
What it is: D2L (Desire2Learn) is our Learning Management System for online coursework. Professors may also use it to post assignments or deliver quizzes.
What to do: Visit http://ocuonline.okcu.edu
What you'll need:
- Your full email address (username@my.okcu.edu)
- Your email password
What this tests: This verifies you can access your online courses, assignments, and course materials.
Note: If you are not currently enrolled and have never been previously enrolled in a course at OCU, you might not have access yet to D2L.
✓ Success? If you logged in successfully, proceed to Step 6.
Step 6: Can You Log Into the Support Portal?
What it is: The Support Portal is where you can create help tickets to resolve technical issues you're experiencing. You can also correspond with a technician regarding your issue.
What to do: Visit http://helpdesk.okcu.edu
What you'll need:
- Your email username (username@my.okcu.edu)
- Your email password
What this tests: This verifies you can access technical support services when you need help.
✓ Success? Congratulations! You have verified access to all essential university systems.
